The construct

What is employee wellbeing?

Not a mood. A multi-dimensional construct — how energised, fulfilled, and sustainable people find their working lives — with measurable consequences for productivity, retention, and organisational health.

The degree to which people invest physical, emotional, and cognitive energy in their work, showing up with enthusiasm, focus, and full effort. Engaged employees are productive, resilient, creative, and far less likely to leave.

0.0%
of T&T workers report high engagement

The exhaustion of an employee's capacity to sustain meaningful involvement: emotional, physical, and cognitive depletion from prolonged demands. It accumulates silently; by the time it shows in behaviour, it has been building for months.

0.0%
of T&T workers experience burnout

Engagement is a strong predictor of individual productivity across the workforce, and sustained job demands can drive burnout over time, undermining that link. The cost of ignoring this is measured in turnover, absenteeism, and lost capability.

The framework · in motion

The Job Demands–Resources model.

OrgSense is built on the JD-R model, one of the most validated frameworks in occupational health psychology (Bakker & Demerouti, 2007). Every job balances demands that drain against resources that buffer. Watch how it works.

Measurement design

Why quarterly,
not annual?

Annual engagement surveys have been standard for decades. But a single yearly snapshot can't manage something as dynamic as wellbeing.

Burnout develops over months. By the time it surfaces in an annual survey, it has already shaped absenteeism, performance, and who stays.

Three pulse check-ins a year (each under five minutes) plus the annual survey give four data points: enough to tell a genuine trend from a one-off blip. The result is an early-warning system, not a retrospective report.

Annual sees only the endpoints — a gentle decline that looks fine.
Quarterly catches the Q3 dip below threshold, in time to act.
